JEEViKA Monitoring and Evaluation of FNHW Activities

CSBC designed an evaluation strategy to measure the impact of JEEViKA's programmes on behavioural outcomes related to exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding, and diet diversity as the technical support agency to JEEViKA. CSBC conducted a randomised controlled trial (RCT) to investigate whether these programmes caused improvements in knowledge, intentions, and practices in these focus areas when delivered to self-help group (SHG) members.

As the national resource organisation (NRO) supporting programme implementation, JEEVIKA led the proposed research in Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Uttarakhand. CSBC supported JEEViKA in programming the computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) tool, research design, sample size calculation, and budgeting. We plan to assist JEEViKA in training and data analysis.
